Soprano

Alina Cherkasova - is a classical trained dramatic soprano from Ukraine, voice and piano instructor. Alina is a laureate of 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes of European and International vocal competitions in the USA, Italy, Ukraine, Austria, Spain, Canada and the United Kingdom. The winner of the American Protégé vocal competition and Golden Classic Music Award in New York, invited to perform at the winners' concert in Carnegie Hall.
During eight years of study Alina successfully passed the basic and musical techniques of teaching, psychology and public speaking. She has performed in Philharmonics, Concert halls, and many Churches in Ukraine, Italy, and the USA. Alina performed a lot as youth soloist with the symphony orchestra at the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater , and the Dnipro Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. Alina learned and sung such roles as : Nedda (Opera R.Leoncavallo "Pagliacci" ), Serina and Clara (Opera Gershwin "Porgy and Bess"), Contessa "W.A Mozart "Le nozze di Figaro"), Santuzza (Opera P.Mascagni "Cavalleria Rusticana"), Tatiana ( Opera Tchaikovsky "Eugene Onegin"), Liu ( Opera G.Puccini "Turandot"),Chio-Chio-San (Opéra G.Puccini "Madame Butterfly"), Micaela (Opera Z.Bizet "Carmen"), Zemfira (Opera S.Rachmaninoff "Aleko"),Liza (Opera P.Tchaikovsky "The Queen of Spades") and others.
Also, Alina has a large repertoire of Sacred music and concert repertoire : Italian,French, German, Ukrainian and Russian classical music.
In 2018 Alina has a concert-tour with the organ in Italy. In cities such as Vicenza, Monticello Conte Otto Trieste and Bologna. Alina has given many concerts of Ukrainian music in Italy with the Ukrainian collective "Ukraine Together."
Since 2016, she has been part of the charity organization "Opera vo Blago" («Opera for boon») in Ukraine, the city of Odessa (Ukraine). Over the past three years, she did more than 150 charity concerts (to help sick children, the elderly, and animals). In 2018, Alina received the Regional Award "The kindest musician of the year". With the help of her voice and concerts, Alina helped raise money for people with cancer who recovered.
In 2019, Alina and the charitable organization «Opera vo Blago» (Opera for boon») was awarded the "Best Creative Peoples of Ukraine" award and received a grant from the Governor of the Odessa region. Alina was also often invited to the jury of children international competitions of music schools in Ukraine. Alina's students enrolled in music and theater schools, took the best places in competitions.
Since March of 2020 Alina and her military husband have been living in Aberdeen, NC . She continues charitable performances to support the US military, veterans and their military spouses.In the future there are projects for more charitable concerts for the military families and wounded worrier’s.
In the US Alina actively performs, teaches privately , working in the Snyder Music Academy and Community College as an instructor of voice and piano.
Since March of 2022 Alina has already done five fundraiser concerts for Ukraine, providing medical and humanitarian help to ukrainians.
About two years Alina is a certified trained volunteer in the Guardian ad Litem Program in Judicial District 19D Carthage, North Carolina . She serves abused and neglected children by advocating for their best interests in court.She is working on establish Charitable organization to help these children through music.
